- Russia claims to have intercepted 36 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and the Crimean peninsula. Local media reported a fire at an oil refinery on Sunday, with speculation that it might have resulted from a drone strike or debris from a downed drone. In response, Ukraine stated that it had downed five Iranian-made Shahed explosive drones that were launched from Russia overnight.
- Russian state media has stated that over the past 24 hours, more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers lost their lives in Yuzhno-Donetsk. The attack reportedly involved Russian troops and included the participation of the 58th motorized infantry, 79th air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the 128th territorial defense brigade.
- A key ally of President Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia may seize assets of EU member states it views as unfriendly if the European Union moves forward with plans to allocate frozen Russian funds to support Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.
