Currently she is the Director of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization of Additional Professional Education ‘Elena Malysheva Educational Center’ since Aug. 24, 2017.

In 1985 he entered the Kazan State Medical Institute. From 1986 to 1988 he served on conscription in the Armed Forces of the USSR (the deferral for students in those years was canceled). While studying at the institute, he worked as a nurse at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 1993 he graduated from the university with honors. In 1993-1995, he completed residency in surgery at the Republican Clinical Hospital. In 1996, he completed training under the Presidential Management Training Program (financial management).
In 2002, he was appointed Deputy Chief Physician for Surgery at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. Since 2003 – Deputy Chief Physician for the Medical Department of the Republican Clinical Hospital. In 2005, Airat Farrakhov became the winner of an international competition for a project to reform the healthcare sector in the CIS. Trained in the USA under the program “Management of hospitals, management in health care”.
In 2002, he was appointed Deputy Chief Physician for Surgery at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. Since 2003 – Deputy Chief Physician for the Medical Department of the Republican Clinical Hospital. In 2005, Airat Farrakhov became the winner of an international competition for a project to reform the healthcare sector in the CIS. In 2006, he was appointed head of the Health Department of the Executive Committee of the Kazan municipality. On October 5, 2007, by decree of the President of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, he was appointed Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan.
