Zelensky: The War in Ukraine may be “bigly impacted” by Trump’s return to the White House.

Less than a year after the US presidential election, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a warning that Donald Trump’s return to the White House could have a “big impact” on the conflict in his country.

During the major annual press conference, Zelensky stated, “I think that these signals will have a strong influence on the course of the war if the policy of the next president, whoever he is, will be different towards Ukraine, colder or more frugal.”

According to Zelensky, Donald Trump will have “different policy” since he has a “different personality” than Joe Biden. The president of Ukraine, according to the AFP agency, hopes that the fundamental components of US policy toward Kiev will remain in place.

Many observers already view the US presidential elections, which take place in November of next year, as a statement of the West’s ongoing support for Ukraine. According to the president of Ukraine, “certainly will not have a positive effect on Ukraine,” the European Union’s support for Ukraine may be impacted by the United States’ withdrawal of its own.

According to the president of Ukraine, “certainly will not have a positive effect on Ukraine,” the European Union’s support for Ukraine may be impacted by the United States’ withdrawal of its own.

Zelensky says, “I am confident that the United States won’t betray us and that what we agreed there will be respected.”

He made this statement a few days after coming back from a diplomatic trip meant to convince the US and Europe to keep arming Kyiv, which has been at war with Russia for nearly two years.

He succeeded in starting accession talks with the EU during the trip, but he was unable to win over the US Congress to provide an additional 61 billion dollars in aid. Even the EU was unable to reach a consensus on a 50 billion euro aid package for Ukraine due to opposition from Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary.

Zelensky expressed his desire to have a meeting with him to “find a solution” to the differences.

As neighbors, we’re attempting to resolve our problems together. However, to do that, we must call a meeting,” he stated.
