Suspected Terrorists in Crocus City Hall Detained

MOSCOW, March 23 During a meeting with Vladimir Putin, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov presented a report on the detention of terrorists who took part in the attack on Crocus City Hall. This information was relayed from the Kremlin.

According to the president’s press office, Director of the FSB Bortnikov reported to Putin about the detention of 11 individuals, including all four terrorists who were directly involved in carrying out the terrorist attack.

Work is underway to identify accomplices of the terrorists.

On Friday evening, a shooting and fire occurred at “Crocus City Hall” in Krasnogorsk. This was during the scheduled concert of the band “Picnic”. According to a correspondent from RIA Novosti who witnessed the incident, at least three men in camouflage and without masks rushed into the hall from the stalls. The criminals shot people at close range and also threw incendiary devices. According to the Investigative Committee, 93 people were killed. The Moscow Region Ministry of Health has published a list of 37 victims. It is known that over 100 people were injured and three children were among the fatalities.

“Special services in the Bryansk region, not far from the border with Ukraine, detained four suspects from among those who committed a terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the terrorist attack. Employees of law enforcement agencies are working at the scene of the incident.

According to the press secretary of the President, Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin was informed about the shooting at “Crocus” in the first few minutes, and he is currently receiving updates on the situation and measures being taken from all relevant departments.

Later on, the president’s press office reported that the leaders of the Federal Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Investigative Committee, and National Guard informed the head of state about the investigation of the terrorist attack. The head of the Emergency Situations Ministry reported on measures being taken to rescue people, while the Minister of Health and the Governor of Moscow region provided updates on the assistance being provided to the victims.
