Conspiracy Theories: Did Ivan Pechorin Really Die as Reported?

There are widespread theories that many Russian oligarchs were bumped off since Ukraine invasion began by the Kremlin due to holding secret information on Putin or resisting his moves in the energy field.

Many Russian Oligarchs have died in different strange ways, like being shot, hanged, stabbed, poisoned, falling, and drowned. Given the circumstances and the dissent that has surrounded Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, many people do not believe that these deaths are just a coincidence.

Only days earlier, Pechorin had attended the Eastern Economic Forum, which was hosted by President Vladimir Putin in Valdivostok.

Pechorin spoke in a session at Eastern Economic Forum aimed at beating sanctions, called ‘Everyone has their Own Route: The Logistics of a Changed World’.

The KRDV is President Vladimir Putin’s project for developing the rich energy and mining resources of Russia’s farthest eastern region, which has become a crucial objective under the weight of international sanctions.

Russia’s Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (KRDV), described his death as an “irreparable loss.”

On September 12, 2022, it became known about the tragic death of our colleague, Managing Director for the Aviation Industry of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation Ivan Pechorin. Ivan’s death is an irreparable loss for friends and colleagues, and a great loss for the corporation. We offer our sincere condolences to family and friends.

Development of the Arctic, a hugely lucrative and rich source of oil and gas for Russia, is seen as vital for the country amid global sanctions putting Russia’s economy under strain over Putin’s bombardment of Ukraine.

Pechorin was also responsible for the development of the air industry across the vast east of Russia – a sector also under pressure due to Western economic curbs.
